MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611080041 A) filed by Madan Mohan Malaviya University Of Technology on June 29, 2026, for Confinement-Driven Enzymatic Photoreactor.

Inventors include Rajesh K. Yadav; Shaifali Mishra; Kanchan Sharma; Anupma Yadav; and Vinay K. Mishra.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a confinement-driven enzymatic photoreactor employing a S/M-CTFs@G composite for enhanced photocatalytic and photocatalytic– enzymatic transformations. The system enables efficient visible-light-driven regeneration of 1,4-NADH under mild aqueous conditions using a structured catalytic framework. The regenerated cofactor is further utilized for enzymatic conversion of formaldehyde to methanol via alcohol dehydrogenase, demonstrating an effective cascade reaction. The invention also supports additional visible-light-mediated organic transformations, providing a versatile platform for integrated photocatalytic and biocatalytic applications.
