A method comprises receiving, from a network node, at least first configuration information and second configuration information for an on-demand system information block 1, SIB1, request, the first configuration information configuring a first set of occasions for transmitting the on-demand SIB1 request, and the second configuration information configuring a second set of occasions for transmitting the on-demand SIB1 request; based on a determination that a first condition is satisfied, initiating the on-demand SIB1 request based on either the first configuration information or the second configuration information; and based on a determination that a second condition is satisfied, initiating the on-demand SIB1 request based on the second configuration information.
