Abstract: The present invention relates to a conductive polycarbonate-carbon powder composite fuel cap locking mechanism designed to improve safety, durability, and operational reliability in automotive fuel systems. Conventional fuel cap locking components made from standard polymer materials are prone to wear, deformation, and static charge accumulation, which can compromise locking perfoTm^nceiand increasei'gnitionnslrlTrfuel-vapor environments. The proposedinventionutilizes a specially engineered conductive PC-carbon powder composite that provides superior mechanical strength, electrostatic discharge protection, heat resistance, and dimensional stability. The locking mechanism comprises an internal rotor and locking tab integrated into a single structure, enabling smooth rotational movement and long-term resistance to torsional stress. By combining enhanced material properties with an optimized design, the invention ensures improved safety, extended component lifetime, and superior performance compared to conventional fuel cap locking systems.
