The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a conductive hydrogel and a process for preparing the same. The process comprises dissolving a triblock copolymer in water, incorporating a crosslinking agent, dispersing lignin and a conductive filler selected from polyaniline (PANi), reduced graphene oxide grafted with polyaniline (rGO- PANi), or combinations thereof, followed by mixing, heating, stirring, and gelation to obtain a conductive hydrogel having a three-dimensional crosslinked polymeric network. The hydrogel exhibits shear-thinning rheology, non-Newtonian behaviour, Herschel-Bulkley flow characteristics, improved swelling behaviour, and enhanced electrochemical performance. The present disclosure further provides an electrode comprising the conductive hydrogel, conductive carbon, and a polyvinylidene fluoride binder supported on a current collector, and a supercapacitor device employing the electrode as a working electrode. The supercapacitor exhibits high specific capacitance, improved energy density, enhanced power density, and excellent cycling stability. The conductive hydrogel is particularly suitable for use as a gel polymer electrolyte in supercapacitors, flexible energy storage devices, wearable electronics, and other electrochemical energy storage applications.
