Abstract: Condition-Triggered Mechanical Memory Multilattice Tibial Baseplate for Adaptive Load Redistribution This invention describes a condition-triggered self- reprogramming mechanical memory multilattice tibial baseplate as shown in Fig - 1, for total knee arthroplasty. The tibial baseplate comprises a mechanically differentiated multilattice architecture including a sacrificial settling zone, load-fuse lattice structures, triply periodic minimal surface load-receiving regions, auxetic stabilization bands, shear-damping architectures, and a porous osseointegration interface. The load-fuse lattice structures are configured to undergo controlled plastic deformation upon exposure to predetermined localized overload conditions, thereby producing a permanent mechanical memory event that modifies the internal stiffness distribution of the implant. Following activation, mechanical loads are autonomously redistributed from vulnerable support regions toward mechanically stronger load-bearing regions while maintaining overall structural integrity and fixation stability. The invention further provides stabilization and shear-force management during high-flexion activities. Adaptive load redistribution occurs without sensors, electronics, software control, external actuation, or revision intervention, thereby improving long-term load sharing, fixation reliability, and resistance to implant loosening under patient-specific biomechanical conditions.
