Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented system for medical inventory management and expiry monitoring. The system comprises a web-based user interface, an application server, and a relational database configured to maintain medical inventory records comprising item identifiers, stock quantities, and expiry dates. The application server processes inventory-related requests, validates submitted data, and performs inventory record creation, retrieval, updating, and deletion through database operations. Database-level constraints are employed to prevent negative stock quantities, while parameterized SQL statements are used to process database requests. The system further provides expiry-date-based sorting of inventory records and visual alerts for items whose stock quantities fall below predefined minimum-stock thresholds. Records approaching their expiry dates can be presented through the user interface to facilitate timely review and inventory control. The web-based architecture enables authorized users to access inventory information through compatible web browsers on computing devices connected to the application server. The system is intended to facilitate inventory record maintenance, improve visibility of stock availability, support expiry monitoring, and reduce errors associated with manual inventory management in healthcare facilities.
