Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented system and method for the automated, content-analysis-based assessment of corporate Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) disclosures. The system extracts textual content from BRSR disclosure documents and evaluates the extracted content against a predefined database of 121 disclosure indicators, each indicator being associated with one of the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and one of the nine Principles of the National Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct (NGRBC). A rule-based scoring engine computes, for each indicator, a hit ratio based on the occurrence of predefined keywords and descriptor phrases within the extracted text, and assigns a ternary disclosure score accordingly. The system aggregates the indicator-level scores into SDG-wise scores, Principle-wise scores, and a normalised SDG Reporting Score for the reporting entity, and enables comparative benchmarking of multiple reporting entities. A report-generation module automatically compiles the computed scores into a colour-coded, multi-sheet spreadsheet report. The invention reduces the time and subjectivity associated with manual content-analysis-based assessment of sustainability disclosures and operationalises, in computer-implemented form, a standardised BRSR–NGRBC–SDG indicator mapping and scoring framework.
