Abstract: ABSTRACT COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PULSES IN QUANTUM KEY DISTRIBUTION (QKD) NETWORK The present invention discloses a computer-implemented system (100) and method (500) for detecting pulses in a quantum key distribution (QKD) network. The computer-implemented system (100) includes source QKD devices (102) and destination QKD devices (104). The source QKD devices (102) generate quantum states. The source QKD devices (102) transmit the pulses in a first pre-configured memory. The source QKD devices (102) set bits to optimum value in a second pre- configured memory. The destination QKD devices (104) detect the pulses received from the source QKD devices (102). The destination QKD devices (104) determine information associated with timestamps of the pulses. The destination QKD devices (104) transmit the information associated with the timestamps. The source QKD devices (102) identify byte locations of timestamps during which the pulses are transmitted. The source QKD devices (102) segregate signal pulses and decoy pulses, upon classification of the signal pulses and the decoy pulses. FIG. 1
