The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUDITABLE OPTICAL MARK RECOGNITION BASED EVALUATION OF EXAMINATION ANSWER SHEETS A computer-implemented method and system for auditable optical mark recognition-based evaluation of an examination answer sheet is disclosed and shown in Fig. 1. An image of a marked answer sheet is registered to a predefined template coordinate system by detecting fiducial markers and applying an estimated perspective transform to produce an aligned image. A raw fill score is extracted for each selectable answer option of each question, and each option is classified into a marked, unmarked, or partial state, while each question is classified into a blank, single, multiple, or partial status. A structured recognition evidence record comprising raw fill scores and classified states is generated and stored in a memory, independent of any scoring policy. The record is thereafter evaluated using a selected scoring policy, from a plurality of interchangeable scoring policy modules, to produce a score output without reprocessing the image. FIG. 1
