Abstract: A computer-implemented framework for prediction of thermo-viscous fluid flow in porous domains using artificial neural networks is disclosed. The framework is executed on a computing system and comprises an input module for acquiring physical parameter values of a thermo viscous fluid and porous medium, a non- dimensionalisation module for computing non-dimensional parameters, a trained feed-forward neural network model, and an output module for reconstructing velocity and temperature profiles. The trained neural network approximates the mapping from non-dimensional spatial coordinate and thermo-viscous parameters, including at least a Prandtl number and thermal conductivity-related coefficients, to corresponding non-dimensional velocity and temperature values. Training data are generated from analytical and/or numerical solutions of coupled momentum and energy equations in a representative configuration, such as unsteady thermo viscous flow between parallel porous plates. By replacing repeated numerical solution of the governing equations with neural network inference, the invention achieves substantial reduction in computation time for evaluating thermo viscous flow fields, enabling practical deployment in engineering analysis, design and digital twin applications.
