Abstract: The present invention relates to a compressor system (1) comprising: an oil supply unit (20) comprising at least one oil reservoir (21), a compressor unit (10) comprising at least one oil-receiving compressor unit portion (11), and an oil level sensor (30) arranged in or at the at least one oil-receiving compressor unit portion (11) and configured to detect an oil level of the at least one oil-receiving compressor unit portion (11), an oil supply line (60) operatively connected to an outlet (21a) of the at least one oil reservoir (21) and an inlet (10a) of the compressor unit (10) to allow oil to flow from the at least one oil reservoir (21) to the compressor unit (10), a valve unit (50) arranged in the oil supply line (60) to control the flow of oil via the oil supply line (60), and a control device (40) operatively connected to the oil level sensor (30) via a sensor signal line (70) and configured to receive a sensor signal of the oil level sensor (30) indicative of the oil level of the at least one oil-receiving compressor unit portion (11), wherein the control device (40) is further operatively connected to the valve unit (50) via a control signal line (80) and configured to control the valve unit (50) to increase the flow of oil when the sensor signal is indicative of the oil level being equal to or below a predetermined threshold, and to decrease or stop the flow of oil when the sensor signal is indicative of the oil level exceeding a predetermined threshold.
