Abstract: Abstract A compressor (10) for a commercial vehicle comprises a crankshaft (11) and a crankcase (20). The crankcase (20) has a first side (21) configured for interfacing the compressor (10) to an engine of the commercial vehicle and a second side (22) opposite the first side (21). The first side (21) of the crankcase (20) comprises a through hole (24) having an integrated bearing (17) to rotatably support the crankshaft (11). The second side (22) of the crankcase (20) has an opening (23). The compressor (10) further comprises a rear flange member (30) configured for mounting to the second side (22) of the crankcase (20) to cover the opening (23) and support the crankshaft (11), wherein the rear flange member (30) comprises an oil connector (33) configured to receive oil (35). A manufacturing method of the compressor (10) in which a high pressure die casting is performed to form the crankcase (20) is also disclosed. (Fig. 1)
