Compositions comprising a compound of formula (I) and conjugates, complexes and pharmaceutical compositions thereof are described, as well as their methods of use to modulate (e.g. increase) IL-2 expression/activity to achieve desirable outcomes (such as e.g., decrease in cancer cell viability, growth, proliferation or metastasis, decrease in tumor volume, increase in survival, increase or decrease in immune cell proliferation or activation, increase or decrease in cytokine production, decrease in autoimmunity, decrease in inflammation, etc.). Related medicaments, kits, and methods of delivery of such compositions are described. Methods for the development or manufacture of a compound of formula (I), and pharmaceutical compositions thereof are provided. Further described are diagnostic and testing methods to detect IL-2 expression/activity' levels, and compositions comprising diagnostics or testing kits.
