MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411101420 A) filed by Ipl Biologicals Limited on December 20, 2024, for Composition Of Microbial Enriched Organic Fertilizers.
Inventors include Dr. Vimala Prakash; Dr. Gaurav Sood; and Dr. Divya Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an organic fertilizer–fortified bioformulation for effective crop nutrition, supplying essential nutrients including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, iron, sulfur, magnesium, and others. The formulation comprises Bacillus altitudinis as a microbial inoculant utilized for the biofortification and solubilization of rock phosphate, having a minimum viable cell count of = 1 × 108 CFU/gm in the final product. The composition further includes preservative such as polysorbate 80 and suitable adjuvants, wherein all components act synergistically to enhance nutrient availability, crop productivity, and sustainable soil health. The invention also discloses a process for preparing the bioformulation of Bacillus altitudinis, wherein the microbial culture is grown to achieve a viable cell concentration in the range of 7 × 10? CFU/mL to 1 × 10¹° CFU/mL prior to blending with the carrier and fortifying agents (organic fertilizer base).
