Inventors include Prof. B. Kishore Babu; P. S. D. Rekha Phani; Prof. N. Annapurna; Dr. B. Swarna Latha; and Dr. N K Prasanna Kumari.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a composition (100) and method for preparation of three-dimensional nickel cobalt oxide and carbon nanotube hybrid structures for use in microwave absorption and electromagnetic interference shielding applications, thereby achieving enhanced electromagnetic wave attenuation characteristics, which include improved impedance matching, dielectric loss, interfacial polarization, and multiple scattering effects through a hydrothermal synthesis followed by a calcination process. The composition (100) comprises a nickel cobalt oxide material (102) having a three-dimensional hierarchical structure and carbon nanotubes (104) integrated with the nickel cobalt oxide material (102) to form a three-dimensional hierarchical structure corresponding to a three-dimensional nickel cobalt oxide carbon nanotube hybrid structure. The composition (100) exhibits enhanced impedance matching characteristics to enable effective absorption of incident electromagnetic waves.
