Abstract: The present invention relates to a high-performance cable channel and wire-routing duct fabricated using a polycarbonate—carbon powder reinforced composite filament specifically engineered for automotive engine bay environments. The invention provides a lightweight, thermally stable, and mechanically robust cable-organising structure capable of withstanding prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures, vibration loads, and chemically aggressive under-hood conditions. The integration of carbon powder within the polycarbonate matrix significantly enhances tensile strength, impact resistance, and long-term dimensional stability while maintaining excellent dielectric properties required for safe wire management. The cable channel includes an optimised geometry for clip-fit mounting, controlled flexibility for installation, and improved abrasion resistance to prevent insulation wear on electrical harnesses. Compared to conventional ABS, PP, or nylon components, the disclosed composite duct demonstrates superior thermal endurance, reduced deformation, and extended service life. The invention is suitable for use in internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles requiring reliable cable routing solutions.
