Abstract: ABSTRACT COMPOSITE BIOINK COMPRISING COLLAGEN-CAPPED CINNAMALDEHYDE NANOEMULSION FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL BIOPRINTED SCAFFOLDS A composite bioink (10) is provided. The composite bioink (10) comprises a collagen-capped cinnamaldehyde nanoemulsion (12) comprising cinnamaldehyde in an amount of 150-250 µL, an emulsifier in an amount of 1.2-2.0 mL, and collagen in an amount of 5-20 mg dispersed in water, wherein the collagen forms a capping layer around nanoemulsion droplets. The composite bioink (10) further comprises a hydrogel matrix comprising gelatin (14) in an amount of 0.5-1.0 g, sodium alginate (16) in an amount of 0.8-1.5 g, and hydroxyapatite nanopowder (18) in an amount of 50-100 mg. The collagen-capped cinnamaldehyde nanoemulsion (12) is dispersed within the hydrogel matrix in an amount of 0.5-2.0 mL. (FIG. 1)
