Abstract: The invention relates to a component (40, 50) for a clamping and/or braking device (10), the component comprising: a housing part (3a, 3b) comprising a connection opening (15) for a connection (II) of the clamping and/or braking device (10) for applying a pressure medium to a pressure chamber (2) of the clamping and/or braking device (10), and a stepped housing inner surface (17a) which defines a stepped recess (17b) adjacent to the connection opening (15) in the housing part (3a, 3b); an adhesive and/or sealing compound (30); a preferably annular elastic element (1a, 1b), the elastic element (1a, 1b) comprising a connection seal (20) that defines an edge (22) of a sealing opening (23) of the connection seal (20) for fluidic connection to the connection opening (15), and the connection seal (20) forming a connection protrusion (21) along the edge (22) of the sealing opening (23), which connection protrusion surrounds at least part of the sealing opening (23); wherein the connection seal (20) is positioned in the stepped recess (17) of the housing part (3a, 3b) in such a way that the adhesive and/or sealing compound (30) is positioned between the connection protrusion (21) and the stepped housing inner surface (17a) of the housing part (3a, 3b).
