MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611026695 A) filed by Aina Computers, Inc. on March 06, 2026, for Complaint Mechanism-Based Joystick Assembly For Electronic Devices.
Inventors include Shankar, Apoorv; Mahale, Dwarkaprasad Santosh; and Jayan, Anoop.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a compliant mechanism-based joystick assembly (100) designed specifically for miniature or ultra-miniature applications. The joystick assembly (100) may include flexural joints (104a) serving as a centering mechanism corresponding to a joystick head (102) movement, which may be manipulated by the user. Further, the joystick assembly (100) may be configured to fit within extremely compact dimensions, such as 5 millimeters x6 millimeters, making the joystick assembly (100) ideal for integration in miniature electronic devices where space is severely constrained. The present disclosure enables precise and tactile multi-axis control input without sacrificing reliability or increasing device bulkiness, directly addressing the needs of next-generation wearable and microelectronics form factors. The use of the flexural joints (104a) may permit reliable return-to-center functionality, even when physical size continues to decrease for new device platforms.
