Abstract: ABSTRACT COMPARTMENT WITH GUIDED MOTION The present disclosure pertains to a compartment (102) that comprises a body (104). The body (104) includes a guide profile (110) formed on lateral sidewalls (108a, 108b). The body (104) includes a first engagement point (302) formed at a base of the lateral sidewalls (108a, 108b). A lid (106) latched to the lateral sidewalls (108a, 108b), and configured to move along the guide profile (110) when unlatched from at least one groove formed on lateral sidewalls (108a, 108b). The guide profile (110) includes a second engagement point (408) and a guide pin (120) slidingly engaged to the guide profile (110) to transition the lid (106) between an open position and a closed position. Furthermore, the guide pin (120) slides through the bottom end (116) to engage the first engagement point (302) with the second engagement point (408), thereby rotating the lid (106) about the first engagement point (302).
