Abstract: Title: Automated Appliance-Level Greywater Treatment and Reuse System and Method The present invention relates to an automated appliance-level greywater treatment and reuse system and method for association with washing machines, dishwashers, and other greywater-generating appliances. The system comprises a collection and treatment chamber, one or more water-level sensing devices, a controller, a treatment-agent dispensing assembly, a stirring assembly, a sludge discharge mechanism, one or more filtration stages, a treated-water storage reservoir, and associated fluid transfer components. The controller automatically executes a batch- treatment cycle including greywater collection, sequential dispensing of treatment agents, controlled agitation, settling of suspended contaminants, automated sludge separation and discharge prior to filtration, filtration of clarified greywater, treated-water storage, and reuse. In preferred embodiments, the treatment agents include a biodegradable defoaming agent, a coagulant, and a disinfectant, while the filtration stages include sediment and activated carbon filters. The system is adaptable as a retrofit module or an integrated appliance unit for localized greywater treatment, reducing freshwater consumption, wastewater discharge, and improving water-use efficiency.
