Abstract: This communication system includes: an anchor network which is a network having a user plane function for direct connection with a data network of a data transmission/reception destination of a communication terminal; and a non-anchor network which is a network that connects to the data network via the anchor network. When switching a connected network to another network, the communication terminal uses a plurality of protocol stacks to connect to both the anchor network and the non-anchor network to transition to a state for communicating with the data network, and subsequently terminates communication with the data network via the connected network.
