Abstract: The present application provides a communication method and related device. The method includes: a first responder receives from an initiator a first frame for initiating a ranging process; the first responder generates a first private address based on the first frame and information related to an identity of the first responder; and the first responder transmits a second frame carrying the first private address to the initiator. The method may be applied to ultra-wideband multi-millisecond ranging systems. According to this application, an initiator can verify whether a frame is really from an authorized responder in an ultra-wideband multi-millisecond ranging session.
