Abstract: A communication method and a related apparatus. The method defines an association pattern period (i.e., a first time period) of an SSB-RO group in a PRACH repeated sending scenario, i.e., the first time period is the minimum duration among all durations satisfying conditions that at least one mapping between N SSBs and M RO groups is performed, and the mapping between the N SSBs and M RO groups within each of K consecutive first time periods is the same. The first time period can be determined according to an SSB configuration period and/or a PRACH configuration period. By using the method of the present application, the implementation complexity can be reduced.
