Abstract: The present application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method can be applied to the field of communications. The method comprises: receiving configuration information, the configuration information comprising a mapping relationship between multiple access points (APs) and multiple pieces of indication information, wherein the multiple APs include a first AP, a second AP, and at least one third AP, the multiple pieces of indication information include first indication information and second indication information, the first indication information is used for identifying a first basic service set (BSS) to which an AP group consisting of the first AP and the second AP belongs, and the second indication information is used for identifying a second BSS to which any third AP belongs; and performing communication on the basis of the configuration information. By means of said method, in a multi-AP coordinated transmission scenario, a station can still perform communication on the basis of configuration information, thereby avoiding the occurrence of decoding conflicts and ambiguous identification, improving the performance and stability of wireless networks.
