Abstract: The embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of communications. Provided are a communication method and apparatus. In the method, a first extension length may be indicated, and the first extension length may be associated with a first number of repetitions, such that a signal transmitting apparatus can repeatedly transmit a first signal on the basis of the first number of repetitions, and can also extend the length of the first signal by means of using the first extension length, and resources occupied by the first signal can thus be reused by other users (or signals), so as to reduce overall resource overheads of a communication system, thereby facilitating an increase of the capacity of the communication system.
