Abstract: The present application belongs to the technical field of communications. Provided are a communication method and apparatus, which are used for improving the reliability of ML model evaluation. In the method, data of different ML models can be respectively stored in different data sets, and the reliability of ML model evaluation is improved by using the data in the data sets corresponding to the ML models. For example, after an AnLF entity receives information of a first ML model, the AnLF entity can configure related data of the first ML model to be stored in a first data set, i.e., setting a correspondence between the first ML model and the first data set, and the AnLF entity sends the correspondence to an MTLF entity by means of carrying in a first message the information of the first ML model and information of the first data set, so that the MTLF entity can obtain the related data of the first ML model from the first data set, so as to evaluate the first ML model on the basis of the related data, thus improving the reliability of the evaluation of the first ML model.
