Abstract: COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS This application provides a communication method and apparatus, so that a compensation model can match a power amplifier PA in actual operation to accurately compensate for non-linear distortion caused by the PA to a signal, without approximate mathematical modeling on the PA. The method includes: A first device receives a first signal and first information. The first signal is a signal obtained by a first PA through amplification processing using a first gain, and the first information indicates the first gain. The first device determines a first compensation model based on the first signal and the first gain. The first compensation model is used to compensate for non-linear distortion, and the nonlinear distortion includes non-linear distortion caused to a signal by the first PA in a process of performing amplification processing by using the first gain. For example, the first compensation model is a digital pre-distortion DPD model.
