Abstract: The present application relates to the technical field of wireless communications, and provides a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a first entity of a terminal device receives first information from a first data radio bearer (DRB), wherein the first information is related to first data, and the first data belongs to the first DRB; and the first entity of the terminal device determines a first duration on the basis of the first information, wherein the first duration is a duration in which second data is expected to be transmitted, and the second data belongs to a second DRB. The first duration is used for determining delay information of a status report, and/or, the first duration is used for triggering sending of a status report. The first entity is a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity corresponding to the second DRB, or, the first entity is a media access control (MAC) entity for processing the second data.
