Abstract: A communication method and a communication apparatus. The communication method comprises: a sending end sends an MAC sub-PDU to a receiving end, wherein an RRC message comprised in the MAC sub-PDU comprises one or more of a UL CCCH message, a UL CCCH1 message, or a UL DCCH message. Specifically, the header of the MAC sub-PDU comprises an LCID domain, and the sending end can transmit indication information for assisting in communication by means of the LCID domain. In addition, the MAC sub-PDU further comprises a first domain, and when the value of the first domain is different, meaning represented by the LCID domain is determined on the basis of different LCID tables. The first domain is carried in the MAC sub-PDU, so that the meaning represented by the LCID domain can be determined on the basis of the value of the first domain and the value of the LCID domain, without independently depending on the value of the LCID domain, and thus more pieces of indication information can be indicated by means of the LCID domain, improving the user experience.
