In the present application, the resource type of a measurement resource associated with CSI reporting is indicated/configured by means of first information. Since measurement results of the CSI reporting are obtained on the basis of the measurement of measurement resources associated with the CSI reporting, when the measurement resources associated with the CSI reporting belong to one resource type, the measurement results of the CSI reporting can independently reflect one resource type. In this way, after a network device obtains the measurement results, the network device can independently perform accurate channel assessment or interference assessment on one resource type, so as to adapt to a scenario where the network expects to perform channel assessment or interference assessment on only one resource type.
