Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and apparatus, and a storage medium. The method comprises: receiving first signaling sent by a second device, wherein the first signaling comprises first information, the first information being information related to the total number of time units in a time unit set, and the first signaling is used for instructing a first device to determine a first random number and a first serial number, the first serial number being the serial number of a time unit for sending the first random number. In the present disclosure, receiving first signaling sent by a second device to determine the serial number of a time unit for sending a first random number reduces the probability of a collision occurring when a plurality of first devices simultaneously send their own first random numbers, and improves the efficiency of inventorying the first devices.
