The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: This invention is proposed the use of Sausage fruit for the production of ethanol as combustible fuel for the internal combustion engine. The Sausage fruit pulp is crushed and pre-treated for the enzymatic hydrolysis using enzymes and thus the produced hydrolysate is then pass through the fermentation process wherein the yeast is used for the chemical process to break the molecular bond and convert the hydrolysate into the fermented mixture of ethanol and water along with some impurities. The fermented mixture is heated in the distillation to form the vapors of the ethanol which latter condensed into the liquid ethanol using condenser unit. The liquid ethanol thus produced from the Sausage fruit pulp is then passed through dehydration to remove water content and impurities to obtain the high grade combustible ethanol fuel at 99% purity. Thus, the produced ethanol can be used as combustible fuel in the internal combustion engines.
