MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202331058310 A) filed by Jamipol Limited on February 29, 2024, for Combination Reagent For External Dephosphorization Of Hot Metal And Process For Dephosphorization Thereof.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a combination reagent for external dephosphorization of hot metal. Corresponding method of preparation, and process of employing said reagent in external dephosphorization of hot metal during steel production are also provided. Further, the present disclosure provides an efficient process of external dephosphorization of hot metal comprising a step of desiliconization of hot metal in a ladle etc followed by dephosphorization of desiliconised hot metal in steel making furnace.
