Abstract: ABSTRACT: The present invention discloses a modular dual-ended dental instrument system designed for the efficient placement, contouring, adaptation, and finishing of dental composite materials. The instrument comprises an ergonomically designed handle with two opposing ends, each configured to receive interchangeable tips. The first end accommodates a plurality of composite manipulation tips, including a diamond-shaped tip, rounded burnishing tip, padded condensing tip, micro sculpting tip, and an interproximal tip, each specifically designed to facilitate precise placement, compaction, anatomical sculpting, and contour refinement of restorative materials. The opposing end is adapted to receive a range of composite brush tips comprising a tapered brush tip, chisel cup brush point, flat brush point, rounded cup brush point, and a fan brush point, enabling controlled smoothening, marginal adaptation, surface blending, and aesthetic finishing of composite restorations. The system incorporates a replaceable and interchangeable tip mechanism, allowing rapid customization according to clinical requirements, thereby minimizing instrument changes and enhancing procedural efficiency. The combined functionality of sculpting and brushing within a single instrument improves handling precision, reduces void formation, and enhances surface quality and marginal integrity. The invention is particularly applicable in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, offering a versatile, time-efficient, and ergonomically optimized solution for composite handling and finishing procedures.
