Abstract: A coloured smoke oil composition and a method of manufacturing thereof is provided. The coloured smoke oil composition includes a colour forming agent including one or more solvent dyes, a hydrocarbon solvent as a carrier medium, a smoke-generating carrier, a surfactant and a stabilizer to produce stable, high-intensity coloured smoke under a high-temperature exhaust condition. The coloured smoke oil composition provides improved dye dispersion, formulation homogeneity, stability and flow characteristics, thereby facilitating consistent atomization and generation of dense, vivid and substantially uniform coloured smoke under elevated-temperature conditions. The coloured smoke oil composition is particularly suitable for aerial display applications, including coordinated tricolour smoke displays.
