MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641103838 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education on August 28, 2026, for Collapsible Height Adjustable Roof Carrier For Automobile Vehicles.

Abstract: The titled invention discloses collapsible height adjustable roof carrier for automotive vehicles to store the various types of luggage in roof carrier on vehicles comfortably by adjusting height of roof carrier and easily clamp in and out the roof carrier based on user requirement. The magnetic clamps (11) is used to clamp and unclamp the equipment on the automobile vehicle. By opening extensible frame (2) luggage can be placed on the carrier, the mini hydraulic jack (3) and height expander arm (4) between the main frame (1) and extensible frame (2) used to expand the roof carrier. The cylinder arm (6), plunger holder (7) and top frame holding support (8) used to adjust the height of the roof carrier. This design improves the store various type of luggage and able to adjust the height based on the load and easy detachable of the roof carrier based on the user requirement.
