MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641075271 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on June 18, 2026, for Collaborative Edge-Intelligent Micro-Green Point Tokenization System For Privacy-Preserving Ghost Load Management In Residential Buildings.

Inventors include Dr. R. Charanya; and Shaik Roohi Naaz.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a Collaborative Edge-Intelligent Micro-Green Point Tokenization System for privacy-preserving ghost-load management in multi-unit residential buildings. The system comprises distributed ESP32-based edge energy hubs (101) interfaced with electrical sensors to capture real-time voltage and current signals. A TinyML-based non-intrusive load monitoring module (102) executed at the edge identifies appliance states and computes total ghost-load consumption (103). A Privacy-Preserving Average Consensus (PPAC) protocol (104) enables decentralized computation of a shared-load baseline without exposing individual household energy data. Sustained reductions in ghost-load power (105) are detected and verified using a Collaborative Edge Action Verification (CEAV) protocol (201), which correlates electrical, harmonic, and optional contextual signals. Verified energy savings are converted into Micro-Green Points via a computational engine (301) and recorded using a POSLO-style cryptographic ledger (302). An Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (303) personalizes incentive strategies. The system enables secure, low-overhead, and privacy-preserving energy optimization in residential environments.
