Abstract: A coir jacket system (100) for a water storage tank (102) is disclosed. The coir jacket system (100) includes a unitary coir mat (120) having a side jacket portion (122) to extend around a peripheral wall (104), and an upper jacket portion (124) formed continuously with the side jacket portion (122) at a transition region (126) to extend over an upper portion (106) and cover a tank lid (108). The upper jacket portion (124) includes tapered segments separated by relief slits and adapted to overlap one another and defines a pipe opening (136) to receive an inlet pipe (112) or an outlet pipe (114). Further, the coir jacket system (100) includes a bottom insulation base (160) having a coir wood platform to support the water storage tank (102), and a fastening arrangement (150) having coir yarn to secure the unitary coir mat (120) to the bottom insulation base (160).
