MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617064427 A) filed by Cailabs on May 21, 2026, for Coherent Combination Optical Device And System Using Such A Device For Illuminating A Far-Field Target.

Inventors include Labroille, Guillaume; and Vernaz Gris, Pierre.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to an optical device (4) for the coherent combination of a plurality of phase-controlled elementary light beams (FLE). It comprises a first stage (4a) comprising a plurality of near-field recombination modules (5), wherein each recombination module (5) coherently combines a group of beams from the plurality of elementary light beams (FLE) to form a plurality of intermediate light beams (FLE'). It also comprises a second stage (4b) arranged downstream of the first stage (4a), wherein the second stage (4b) performs a far-field recombination of the intermediate light beams (FLE') to form an output light beam (FLS). The invention also relates to a system for producing an output light beam (FLS) comprising such an optical device (4).
