MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611099427 A) filed by Noida International University on August 17, 2026, for Cognitive Workforce Forecasting Framework For Intelligent, Sustainable And Data-Driven University Employment Lifecycle.
Inventors include Dr. Maitri; and Dr. Kalpana Rawat.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an artificial intelligence-based forecasting model for work force intelligence in planning human resource requirements and managing workforce life cycle in higher education organizations. In contrast to traditional workforce planning approaches that depend on historical staffing ratios, manual estimation, request from departments, and recruitment based on vacancies or demand only, the present disclosure provides a forecasting model based on continuous analysis of institutional data, workforce patterns of faculty and staff, academic/research demands, student enrollments, evolving skill needs, and other parameters, which predicts future human resource needs. The model predicts, among other things, number of employees needed, manpower requirement per department, new skills need, optimum time frame for recruitment, cost of workforce, succession planning needs for critical positions, etc. With the help of predictive analysis and machine learning methods based on employee demographics, trends related to attrition and retirement, promotions, and the growth of students, the system provides institutions with the ability to foresee potential shortages and plan ahead accordingly rather than reacting once it happens. Thus, the invention will allow universities and similar institutions to employ the right people for the right jobs at the right time and right cost, ensuring the most efficient use of resources and eliminating unnecessary recruitment processes.
