MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641115419 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on September 26, 2026, for Cognitive Reality Fragmentation Framework For Autonomous Cyber-Physical And Iot Infrastructure Defence.

Inventors include Govinda K; and C. Mirthunjay Sekar.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT COGNITIVE REALITY FRAGMENTATION FRAMEWORK FOR AUTONOMOUS CYBER-PHYSICAL AND IOT INFRASTRUCTURE DEFENCE A cyber-physical and Internet of Things (IoT) security platform (100) comprises a data acquisition layer (110) configured to acquire operational, behavioral, and security-related information from IoT devices (112), cyber-physical systems (114), network infrastructures (116), security monitoring platforms (118), and threat intelligence sources (120). The platform (100) comprises a Personalized Reality Graph Engine (200) configured to generate entity-specific infrastructure views based on contextual trust levels, operational requirements, behavioral characteristics, and security risk assessments. A Reality Fragmentation Engine (210) dynamically partitions infrastructure visibility into multiple adaptive realities wherein different entities perceive different representations of the same infrastructure. An IoT Trust DNA Engine (220) generates Trust DNA profiles derived from communication patterns, operational characteristics, environmental interactions, resource utilization patterns, and historical behavioral observations. A Predictive Reality Generation Engine (230) predicts attack trajectories and generates adaptive defensive realities. A Reality Drift Index Engine (240) calculates divergence between actual and perceived infrastructure states. An Autonomous Defence Genome Engine (250) evolves defensive strategies. (Fig. 1)
