Abstract: The present invention discloses a cognitive load-aware computing system for adaptive human–AI collaboration capable of monitoring, analyzing, and responding to the cognitive workload of users in real time. The system integrates multiple sensing devices including electroencephalography (EEG) sensors, heart-rate sensors, eye-tracking modules, galvanic skin response sensors, wearable devices, and behavioral monitoring units to acquire physiological and interaction-related data associated with human cognitive conditions. The acquired data is processed through signal preprocessing and feature extraction techniques, and analyzed using machine learning and deep learning algorithms for cognitive workload estimation and classification. Based on the detected cognitive load level, the system dynamically adapts artificial intelligence assistance, task allocation, interface complexity, notification frequency, and workflow presentation to improve collaboration efficiency and reduce mental fatigue. The invention further includes IoT-enabled communication interfaces and a cloud-based analytics platform for remote monitoring, performance analysis, and data management. The proposed system enhances operational safety, decision-making accuracy, productivity, and user comfort in collaborative environments involving humans and artificial intelligence systems. The invention is applicable to healthcare, industrial automation, transportation, education, defense, smart workplaces, and other cognitive-intensive applications.
