Abstract: Modern organizations generate enormous volumes of heterogeneous data originating from enterprise applications, IoT devices, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity systems, social platforms, healthcare systems, and industrial operations. Traditional analytics platforms primarily focus on extracting patterns from structured data but often fail to provide explainable, context-aware, and human-centric decision support. The rapid emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs), cognitive computing, and multi-agent AI offers an opportunity to transform conventional big data analytics into intelligent systems capable of reasoning, collaboration, and transparent decision-making. This proposal introduces a Cognitive Big Data Analytics Framework for Human-Centered Intelligent Systems (CBDA-HCIS) that integrates distributed big data processing, cognitive intelligence, multi-agent reasoning, explainable AI (XAI), and human-in-the-loop learning. The framework employs domain- specialized intelligent agents that collaboratively analyze large-scale multimodal data streams, perform contextual reasoning through LLMs, quantify uncertainty using consensus mechanisms, and generate explainable recommendations that support human decision makers. The proposed research extends conventional analytics by emphasizing trust, transparency, adaptability, and cognitive collaboration between AI and humans. Potential application domains include smart healthcare, Industry 5.0, smart cities, cyber-physical systems, finance, education, and Agile-DevOps governance.
