MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511015639 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 22, 2025, for Coconut Shell Recycling-Enabled Decorative Articles Manufacturing Device.

Inventors include Dr. Sanjay Kumar; and Dr. Satyavir Singh.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A coconut shell recycling-enabled decorative articles manufacturing device, comprise of a body 101 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 102 arranged with the body 101 for providing input regarding a decorative article which is to be manufactured, an opening carved on the body 101 for inserting a coconut shell inside the body 101, an imaging unit 103 installed inside the to determine positioning of the shell inside the body 101, a pair of motorized first grippers 104 installed inside the body 101 to acquire a grip on the accommodated shell, and a motorized cutter 107 suspended from ceiling of the body 101 to cut the shell as per the pattern resulting in cut pieces of the shell, and an electronically controlled nozzle 112 to dispense an adhesive over the cut pieces in order to join the pieces to form the user-selected decorative article.
