Inventors include Dhivya K; Govarthan R; Haakish V P; Haripriya N U; and Pooja Nair R V.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: Cloud network environments are increasingly prone to security threats such as unauthorized access, suspicious traffic behavior, open ports, and distributed denial-of- service attacks that expose critical resources to operational and security risks. Existing network monitoring tools often focus on isolated detection mechanisms, rely on manual analysis, or produce inconsistent threat reporting, creating gaps in visibility across cloud infrastructures. This paper introduces CloudNetSentinal, a modular framework that- unifies- network traffic monitoring,-threat detection, and-anomaly-analysis in-cloud — environments. The system evaluates packet behavior, abnormal communication patterns, network scanning attempts, and traffic-based threats while consolidating findings into a single, standardized security report. By harmonizing monitoring and threat analysis, CloudNetSentinal enables a streamlined and comprehensive view of cloud network security posture. Operating through continuous packet inspection without intrusive agents, it minimizes system overhead while providing actionable alerts and guided response mechanisms for threat mitigation. This approach improves consistency in threat detection, enhances monitoring efficiency, and supports organizations in securing cloud network environments effectively.
