MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641054376 A) filed by Sabitha K; Akshaya Vl; Avantika R; Dheena Dhayalan S; and Gopi Krishnan B on April 29, 2026, for Cloud Patch Intelligence.

Inventors include Sabitha K; Akshaya Vl; Avantika R; Dheena Dhayalan S; and Gopi Krishnan B.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: Cloud infrastructure is growing faster than security teams can audit it. Organizations using Terraform or CloudFormation to manage AWS resources routinely introduce misconfigurations that expose critical systems to threats. These issues often go undetected for weeks or months, and when discovered, developers must manually understand the problem, write a fix, and open a pull request, a process that takes hours of skilled work per issue. • Cloud Patch Intelligence (CPI) is an autonomous Al agent designed to address this challenge by providing end-to-end automated cloud security remediation. Developed using Python, FastAPI, and Next.js, CPI connects to a user's AWS account via read-only IAM credentials, scans all cloud resources using Boto3 and Checkov for misconfigurations, analyzes each issue using a Large Language Model (LLM), generates production-ready Terraform patches, and automatically opens GitHub Pull Requests with detailed security explanations, all without human intervention. • The system supports detection of misconfigurations across S3 Buckets, IAM Roles, EC2 Security Groups, RDS Instances, CloudTrail, and VPC configurations. Each detected issue is analyzed by the Gemini 1.5 Flash LLM, which produces a plain-English explanation, severity rating (Critical/High/Medium/Low), compliance mapping (CIS AWS Benchmark, NIST, SOC2), and a corrected Terraform resource block with inline comments. The autonomous agent pipeline then creates a labeled GitHub Pull Request, enabling developers to review and merge fixes in minutes rather than hours. Experimental results demonstrate that CPI can detect, analyze, patch, and submit cloud misconfigurations as review-ready Pull Requests in under two minutes from scan initiation. The system is deployable at near-zero cost using free API tiers and presents a viable, scalable alternative to expensive enterprise Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools. CPI democratizes cloud security by making autonomous remediation accessible to small teams, students, and startups.
