Abstract: ABSTRACT Water contamination, particularly due to heavy metals, is a growing concern affecting public health, agriculture, and aquatic ecosystems. Heavy metals such as lead (Pb), mercury (Hg);-arsenic(fs), ana caalliium-{Cap:an enter-water sources through-in-d(lstrilil-wasre·-, -------1 agricultural runoff, and improper waste disposal. Traditional water quality monitoring methods are often labor-intensive, costly, and provide only periodic data, making them inefficient for real-time contamination detection. A cloud-enabled loT system provides an advanced solution for continuous and automated water quality monitoring. The system consists of smart sensors deployed in water bodies that detect key parameters such as pH levels, turbidity, dissolved oxygen (DO),temperature, and the concentration of heavy metals. These sensors collect data and transmit it via wireless communication protocols (LoRa, Wi-Fi, NB-loT, or 5G) to a cloud-based platform for real-time processing and analysis. The cloud inrrastructure enables remote monitoring, data visualization, and predictive analytics, allowing authorities, industries, and researchers to take immediate action when contamination levels exceed safe limits. This system offers several advantages, including real-time alerts, automated reporting, scalability, and integration with AI and machine learning models for predictive insights. The use of loT and cloud computing reduces manual intervention, enhances data accuracy, and ensures continuous monitoring, even in remote locations.
