Abstract: ABSTRACT CLOUD-DRIVEN SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REAL-TIME AIR QUALITY MONITORING AND PREDICTIVE INDEX FORECASTING Disclosed is a cloud-driven system (100) and method for real-time air quality monitoring and predictive forecasting of an air quality index. The system comprises a sensing module (110) having a gas sensor (111), a particulate matter sensor (112), a temperature and humidity sensor (113) and a barometric pressure sensor (114) operatively coupled to a microcontroller unit (120) that performs onboard preprocessing and transmits sensor data over a communication network (130), through an integrated wireless module (126), to a cloud computing platform (140). The cloud platform computes a present air quality index through an AQI computation module (143) and forecasts a future air quality index through a gradient-boosting machine learning prediction module (144) trained on historical and real-time data. Computed and forecasted values are rendered on a user interface module (150). The system is affordable, scalable and suitable for indoor and outdoor deployment. [
