Abstract: The present invention relates to a cloud computing-enabled smart energy management device configured for intelligent monitoring, analysis and control of electrical energy consumption. The device comprises electrical sensing elements, an embedded processor, memory, a communication module and a switching interface for acquiring electrical parameters, locally processing measurement information and controlling one or more electrical loads. Selected energy information is transmitted to a cloud computing platform comprising historical data storage, analytical processing, demand forecasting and energy optimization functions. The cloud computing platform evaluates real-time and historical energy information to determine consumption patterns, predict future demand, identify abnormal energy behavior and generate optimized load-management strategies. The system may further coordinate renewable energy generation, energy storage, electricity tariff conditions, demand- response requirements and configurable load priorities.
